D'Sound is a Norwegian pop band with members Mirjam Omdal ( vocals ), Kim Ofstad ( drums ) and Johnny Sjo ( bass guitar ). The music style of the band is generally assigned to acid jazz .
Career
The band was formed in 1993 and released their debut album three years later. In 1994 she appeared in public for the first time at the Oslo Rockefestival in Youngstorvet.
Kim Ofstad left the band while recording the album Starts and Ends (released in 2010) , but has been a member of the group again since the recording of the 2014 album Signs .
In 1998 the band won the Norwegian Spellemannpris . In 2011 they released the benefit single Unseen together with the singer Anneli Drecker .
In June 2018 Simone Eriksrud left the band after 25 years and was replaced by Mirjam Johanne Omdal.
In 2019 the band competed in the Norwegian ESC pre-selection Melodi Grand Prix with their song Mr. Unicorn . She failed to qualify for the top two entries round.
