The club DBK Historic Railway is an association of railway enthusiasts based in Crailsheim .

Originally founded in 1985 as Dampfbahn Kochertal eV based in Sulzbach-Laufen , the association gradually moved to the former steam locomotive depot in Crailsheim. Today the association, which now has over 100 members, owns numerous rail vehicles, some of which are operational ( steam and diesel locomotives as well as passenger and freight train wagons ), and special trips are offered on historic trains. Another important project of the association, which was tackled with the help of a state grant, was the reconstruction of a turntable in the former Crailsheim depot.
