DEC Tigers Koenigsbrunn

The DEC Tigers Königsbrunn was a women's ice hockey club from Königsbrunn . The Tigers were founded in 1987 and played in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga from 1991 , in which they reached the German runner- up in 1995 . On October 5, 2006, the association disbanded and some of the teams joined the ESV Königsbrunn .

history

In the 1987/88 season, the DEC Tiger Königsbrunn team took part in the game for the first time. For the 1991/92 season , the team was promoted to the women's ice hockey Bundesliga . In the first season she reached 5th place in the group south. In the following seasons 1993/94 , 1994/95 and 96/97 , the Tigers reached the final round for the German championship title .

After the women's ice hockey Bundesliga was converted to a single-track league form in spring 2006 , which the DEC officials had tried to achieve, the DEC Tiger team was withdrawn from play in the summer of 2006. At a general meeting on October 5, 2006, the DEC Tigers Koenigsbrunn was dissolved by the members. A majority of the players joined the ESV Königsbrunn , which was the first to register a team for the Bavarian State League.
