The women's ice hockey Bundesliga season 1991/92 was the 4th Bundesliga season for women in Germany. As in the previous season , the reigning champions could not defend their title. For the third time, the Mannheim ERC team won the German championship against the EC Neuss team that was in the final for the first time .

Relegation to the women's ice hockey Bundesliga 1992/93

The Bundesliga teams from Frankfurt, Hennef and DEC Berlin had to be relegated to Group North. There they met teams from Herne , Brackwede , Grefrath and Moers from the Regionalliga NRW and from Braunschweig , which participated due to the waiver of the ES Weißwasser . To top up the southern group, EC Stuttgart from the Baden-Württemberg league and EV Landshut and EV Pfronten from the Bayern league were able to rise directly.

The Wild Cats of the Mannheim ERC teamed up for the championship title for the second time after 1990. EC Neuss was runner-up in its first season after promotion under the coaching team Althausen / Hecht.
