The 2001/02 women's ice hockey Bundesliga season was the 14th Bundesliga season for women in Germany. In the course of the season, TV Kornwestheim was again able to assert itself sovereignly and win the title of German Champion . The future master was only subject to the OSC Berlin once.

organization

The league was carried out by the German Ice Hockey Federation .

mode

The preliminary round was carried out separately in the relays in a single round each against each with a return leg. Then places 1 to 3 played the intermediate round and places 4 to 6 played the cup round .

Preliminary round

In the preliminary round, the three best teams in each of the two groups were determined, which qualified for the intermediate round, in which the participants in the final tournament were determined. The three worse placed of the two groups took part in the cup round with the results of the game within their own preliminary round .
