Nina Kamenik (born April 27, 1985 in Berlin ) is a German ice hockey player who has been active in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga for the OSC Berlin since 2001 .

Career

Club

Kamenik learned to skate at the age of three and began to play ice hockey at the age of five . Until she was 16, she played exclusively with male peers in the FASS Berlin junior teams before moving to the women's ice hockey Bundesliga at OSC Berlin in 2001 . At her new club she quickly established herself as a dangerous attacker, who averaged well over one scorer point per game in the Bundesliga. In 2006, 2007, 2009 and 2010 she won the German championship with the OSC Berlin , she was also runner-up in 2003, 2004, 2008, 2011 and 2014 and DEB Cup winner in 2008, 2009, 2011 and 2014 . Due to the championship title, the OSC Berlin regularly qualified for the IIHF European Women Champions Cup , in whose tournaments she was one of the players with the highest points on her team.

Kamenik belongs to the sports promotion group of the Bundeswehr Neubiberg with the rank of staff sergeant .

International

Kamenik completed their first international matches in the Air Canada Cup in the 2002/03 season . From 2006 she was regularly used in the A team at tournaments and completed her first world championship in 2008 , where she was relegated to Division I with the national team. In 2009 she took part in the World Championship of Division I , but did not succeed in returning to the top division with second place. With three assists at the World Cup in Division I in 2011 , she was instrumental in helping women climb back into the top division.

Further participation in world championships followed in 2012 and 2013 , and in February 2013 she qualified with the national team for the 2014 Winter Olympics . By January 2014, she had completed 160 international matches.
