Sandra Rumswinkel (born August 13, 1977 in Erlangen ) is a former German ice hockey player who was active for many years for ESC Planegg and EC Bergkamen in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga .

Career

Sandra Rumswinkel began her ice hockey career at the age of 15. Before that, she did athletics and tennis. She played in the women's ice hockey Bundesliga for ESC Planegg .

During the 2001/02 season, before the start of the intermediate round , she moved to SC Riessersee to have better chances of participating in the Winter Olympics in Salt Lake City. However, this undertaking did not succeed, so that she returned to the ESCP for the following season.

In 2004 she had to end her international career for professional reasons, but continued to play for ESC Planegg. In 2008 she won the first German championship in the club's history with the ESCP , after having been runner-up in the two previous years.

Rumswinkel scored a total of 200 goals in 165 games for ESC Planegg. In 2010 she wanted to end her career due to rheumatism and was no longer part of the Planegger squad. For private reasons she moved to Dortmund in autumn 2010 and started training with the EC Bergkamener Bären in November . In December 2010 she made her debut for the second team of the club in the 2nd division north at Hamburger SV . Since September 2011 she has been working as a secretary to the management of Borussia Dortmund .

International
Sandra Rumswinkel completed a total of 81 international matches for the German Ice Hockey Federation in the course of her career . Among other things, she took part in three world championships (
1999 , 2000 and 2004 ) and the European championship in 1996 with the German women's national team.
