The 2001/02 season of the Austrian women's ice hockey league was played with seven teams. The defending champions were the Vienna Flyers , the new champions for the first time in the club's history were the EHV Sabers .

With the 2-0 victory in the final series, the EHV Sabers Vienna brought the title to Vienna for the second time, after the Gipsy Girls Villach had dominated the league in the first two years of the event .
