The women's ice hockey club Red Angels Innsbruck is an Austrian women's ice hockey club from Innsbruck .

history

The women's ice hockey club Red Angels Innsbruck was founded in 1998 on the initiative of Michaela Juchum-Pasquazzo. In January 1999, the club began playing in the highest Austrian women's ice hockey league - women's ice hockey Bundesliga - and the Tyrolean championship. Two times in a row - in 1999 and 2000 - the Red Angels won the Tyrolean championship title. In the Bundesliga, the club finished third behind Villach and Vienna in the first season. In the second season (1999/00) the Red Angels reached the play-offs, but could not prevail against the Gipsy Girls Villach, the later champions. In the 2000/2001 season, the team barely missed the play-offs.

The greatest success in the club's history is winning the DEBL championship in the 2005/06 season, before the Red Angels retired in 2010 to the second division, DEBL2. There he won the title in 2017.
