Beginnings in Ottobrunn
Nina Linde grew up in the Trudering district of Munich and learned to skate at an early age. As a child she was initially active in figure skating, later she switched to speed skating . In this discipline she was Munich city champion in her age group. Since her twin brother Kai played ice hockey, she wanted to do the same and switched to ice hockey at the age of eight. Nina Linde trained with her male peers, was one of the best there and joined the women's team at the Ottobrunn / Planegg game community at the age of 13 . A year later she rose to the women's ice hockey Bundesliga with the team from the Bavarian State League .
Success at home and abroad
Between 2000 and 2002 she was a member of the Bundeswehr Sports Promotion Group in preparation for the Winter Olympics . Then she started studying architecture at the TU Darmstadt . In 2002 she won the German championship with TV Kornwestheim . After this success she went to the Mannheim ERC and played for the MERC Wild Cats in the Bundesliga in the 2002/03 season.
In autumn 2003 she moved from MERC to the Young Lions Frankfurt to play in the men's amateur team. This took part in the game operations of the Regionalliga Hessen , the fourth-highest class in German ice hockey. At the same time, she played for the Lady Lions , the club's women's team, in the 2nd division north and scored an average of three goals per game as a defender.
In 2004 Linde was looking for a new challenge and went to the partner university in Tampere as part of her studies . Parallel to her studies she played there for Ilves Tampere in the Naisten SM-sarja and won the Finnish championship with this team in 2006 . She then returned to her home country and was active in the Bundesliga for ERSC Ottobrunn until 2008 . In the 2010/11 season she ran again for Ilves Tampere in the SM-sarja.
