The DR 5 is a compact SUV from the Italian car manufacturer DR Automobiles , which is based on the Chery Tiggo . The vehicle was presented for the first time at the Bologna Motor Show in 2006 and has been built in Macchia d'Isernia since 2007 .

At the Bologna Motor Show in December 2016, DR presented the current version, the DR Evo5 . This has been on sale in Italy since February 2017 at prices starting at 15,980 euros. At the 1st Salon International de l'Automobile (SIAM) in Monaco in February 2017 , the manufacturer presented the special Monte Carlo model together with Prince Albert II .

The car is manufactured in Egypt as the Speranza Tiggo . In Russia the model is known as the Vortex Tingo and in Iran as the MVM X33 .
