DU & ICH was a German magazine targeting gay men.

The first issue of the magazine appeared on October 1, 1969. On September 1, the amendment to Section 175 came into force and homosexual contacts between adult men were no longer prohibited. For this reason it was called the post-September magazine for a while . Founding editor was Egon Manfred Strauss , first editor-in-chief Udo J. Erlenhardt. Even before the two German gay magazines him (April 1970) and DON (May 1970), DU & ICH was the oldest gay magazine in Germany.

The Swiss editor-in-chief Alexander Ziegler shaped the magazine in the 1970s, later editors-in-chief were Philipp Salomon , Dirk Ludigs and then, as successor, Andreas Hergeth .

In 2002 the magazine was taken over by Jackwerth Verlag and has been published every two months instead of monthly since 2007. After the publisher was dissolved, due to the professional retirement of the publisher Reiner Jackwerth, it was taken over in May 2012 with the entire former media inventory of the publisher and all employees by the newly founded Berlin publisher Special Media SDL . DU & ICH also had an online edition, which was available at www.du-und-ich.net .

After 493 published issues, the publisher discontinued the magazine in July 2014.
