The DZ Privatbank SA (official spelling: DZ PRIVATBANK SA ) is a private bank of DZ Bank Group, based in roads , Luxembourg . It is DZ Bank's largest foreign base. DZ Privatbank SA has eight branches in Germany.
history
DZ Privatbank SA began in 1972 when a joint venture in the credit sector was entered into with BHF International in Luxembourg . In 1977, what was then DG Bank International was founded with a focus on syndicated and meta credit business. In 1982 the development of the international private customer business began.
In May 2001, the 100% subsidiary IPConcept Fund Management SA was founded, which has been operating as a service provider for all aspects of fund administration since October 1, 2012 under the name IPConcept (Luxemburg) SA . In November 2001, GZ Bank Luxembourg SA (a subsidiary of what was then GZ Bank , Frankfurt) was merged with DG Bank International SA. At the same time the name was changed to DZ Bank International SA. The location in Singapore was opened in September 2006 (until December 31, 2016). In July 2010 DZ Bank International SA changed its name to what is now DZ Privatbank SA. In the same year, the first branches in Germany were opened in Hanover, Munich and Stuttgart. The year 2011 started with the takeover of the private banking portfolio of UniCredit Luxembourg SA, followed by the merger with WGZ Bank Luxembourg SA in June. At the beginning of 2012, further branches were founded in Germany in Hamburg, Nuremberg and Frankfurt am Main and private banking -Business of WGZ Bank in Düsseldorf transferred to a branch of DZ Privatbank SA. A total of eight branches and two offices have been opened in Germany since 2011.
Business activity
The product range of DZ Privatbank in the “Private Banking” business area essentially comprises asset management and structuring, succession planning, and property and foundation management. The bank's services are mainly offered on a subsidiary basis via the cooperative banks in Germany. Sales in Germany are carried out by regional support teams in the branches and offices as well as at the foreign locations.
In the credit business area, the bank offers financing in all tradable currencies via the “LuxCredit” product for private customers and medium-sized corporate customers in Germany as well as for refinancing institutions of the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken cooperative financial group . Distribution takes place through the Volks- und Raiffeisenbanken .
In the fund services business area, the bank offers the companies of the Volksbanken Raiffeisenbanken cooperative financial group (in particular the Union Investment Group) and, in the so-called third-party fund business, other banks and independent asset managers, all fund services from fund design and launch, sales approvals, risk management, asset management controlling and fund accounting.
