Dachlissen (Swiss German Tachlisse ) is a hamlet in the southeastern political municipality of Mettmenstetten in the Affoltern district of the canton of Zurich in Switzerland . Dachlissen was formerly officially called Dachelsen , is located on the main road between Mettmenstetten and Obfelden and is traversed by the Lindenbach. The main road had to be relocated because of the construction of the A4 . The Zurich – Zug railway runs past to the east of Dachlissen . The place was first mentioned shortly before 1200 as Tachilshovin or Tachelshoven (probably from Old High German ze Tachilines hovun , "at the courtyards of Tachili", or ze Tachiles hovun , "at the courtyards of Tachil"). In the 12th and 13th centuries, the Murbach-Luzern monastery in Dachlissen owned land. The Dachselhofer burger family in Bern comes from a Zurich councilor whose name goes back to Dachlissen .
