Miladin "Dado" Pršo [ ˈdaːdɔ ˈprʃɔ ] (born November 5, 1974 in Zadar , SFR Yugoslavia ) is a former Croatian football player .

Athletic career

Pršo's career began with Pazinka Pazin and Hajduk Split in Croatia. In 1993 he went to France, where he initially played at lower-class clubs such as Stade Raphaëlois and FC Rouen . In 1997/98 he moved to AC Ajaccio in Corsica , from where he moved to AS Monaco two years later . In the 2003/04 Champions League he made it to the final with Monaco and scored seven goals in the competition, four of them on November 5, 2003 alone, his 29th birthday, in an 8: 3 against Deportivo La Coruña at that time Record for most goals scored by a player in a Champions League game. The record was broken by Lionel Messi , who scored five goals against Bayer 04 Leverkusen . From the 2004/05 season until his retirement in 2006/07 Pršo played for the Glasgow Rangers in Scotland .

Pršo only joined the Croatian national team in 2003 at a relatively old age . He was in the Croatian squad at the 2006 World Cup . He resigned from the national team after the World Cup in July 2006 and finally ended his career the following year after another injury.
