Dagmar Glaß

Dagmar Glaß (* 1957 ) is a German Arabist .

Life

After completing her doctorate in 1986 (Arabic studies) at the University of Leipzig , after studying translation / interpreting (Arabic and English, linguistics, translatology and Middle East studies there), she was a university teacher (Arabic lecturer) at the University of Leipzig from 1987 to 1993. After completing his habilitation in 2000 (Arabic studies) after additional studies in sociology and Islamic studies as well as study visits to the universities of Freiburg im Breisgau and Oxford ; 2005 venia legendi for Islamic Studies was it 2000-2004 faculty representative at the University of Erlangen-Nuremberg .
