Dago Leukefeld

Dago Oliver Leukefeld (born April 30, 1963 in Sondershausen ) is a German handball coach .

Dago Leukefeld gained his first experience as a trainer as a teenager. From 1977 to 1983 he trained the youth and senior citizens of Eintracht Sondershausen . From 1983 to 1986 he was the coach of the juniors at UT Erfurt . In the 1st and 2nd women's Bundesliga he coached UT Erfurt-TSV Erfurt until 1993. He was also a selection coach for Thuringia from 1988 to 1993 and then coached HSG Blomberg-Lippe for six years . From 1994 to 1996 he was responsible for the selection of Westphalia, from 1996 for the DHB youth. From 2000 to 2001 Leukefeld was national coach for women and juniors. From 2000 to 2004 he was under contract with DJK / MJC Trier , which he led to the German championship in 2003. Between 2004 and 2010 he coached the Thuringian HC , then Leukefeld took over the coaching position at VfL Sindelfingen , which had to file for bankruptcy before the 2011/12 season and merged with the Stuttgarter Kickers. Leukefeld has been working in an advisory and supporting capacity for TV Jahn Duderstadt since 2011 . During the 2011/12 season he took over the temporary coaching position again at the Trier Kitties until the end of the season after Thomas Happe had resigned there.

In January 2013 he signed up as a coach of the women's team of SG BBM Bietigheim , which subsequently rose to the 1st Bundesliga . Exactly one year later he was given leave of absence from SG BBM. In December 2019 he took over the Oberliga side SV Fortuna Neubrandenburg '50 .
