The Indonesian island of Dai ( indon. Pulau Dai ) belongs to the Babar Islands of the southern Moluccas .

geography

Dai is located north of the main island of Babar . Together with its western part and the island of Wetan in the west, Dai forms the sub-district ( Kecamatan ) Pulau-Pulau Babar ( administrative district of the southwestern Moluccas , Maluku province ).

Dai is mainly made of granite, while most of the other islands in the archipelago are made up of limestone only. Places on Dai are Luturlawa , Sirgurus , Lewa , Marumara , Hertuti and Wakarlawen .
