Dai Nianci

Dai Nianci Chinese  戴念慈 , Pinyin Dài Niàncí ; (Born April 28, 1920 in Wuxi ; † November 12, 1991 in Beijing ) was a Chinese architect and member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences .

Life

After studying architecture at the Central National University, Dai worked as a teacher at his alma mater. Since 1944, Dai has been employed by the Xingye Bureau and the Shangxincheng Bureau. From 1952 to 1971 he worked in the Institute for Architecture and Construction in Beijing. In 1983 he was director of the Chinese Institute of Architecture. In 1986 he became advisor to the Ministry of Construction and in 1988 chief architect for the studio of the Chinese Institute of Architecture. In 1991 he became a member of the Chinese Academy of Sciences
