The Daimler TSS GmbH based in Ulm is an intercompany IT service operated almost exclusively the customer at Daimler. Daimler TSS is a 100% subsidiary of Daimler AG .

Products

Daimler TSS offers services in the fields of car IT and mobility , information security , analytics , digital customer experience and digital retail . The Automotive Retail business, which was previously spun off into the 100% subsidiary Daimler IT Retail GmbH , was reintegrated into Daimler TSS on August 1, 2017.

Since only internal customers are served, the projects are typically little known to the public. Exceptions are e.g. B. car2go , which has been co-developed by Daimler TSS since its creation, the Mercedes-Benz Car Configurator, which is being further developed by Daimler TSS, or the EQ-Ready app.

history

Daimler TSS started in 1998 as a pure software development team with seven employees and is now a medium-sized company with more than 1000 employees and an annual turnover of more than 180 million euros.

On November 17, 2017, it became known that the Ulm-based development and research departments of the Daimler Group were to be outsourced to other locations. At the same time it was announced that new jobs are to be created in the IT industry.

The headquarters of Daimler TSS is located in Ulm at the Daimler location "Science City Oberer Eselsberg". Further locations are in Stuttgart , Leinfelden-Echterdingen , Böblingen , Karlsruhe and Berlin as well as Kuala Lumpur and Beijing .
