Dalibor Medic (born November 26, 1979 in Vienna ) is an Austrian martial artist , martial arts trainer and sports functionary in Taekwondo in the variant of the International Taekwon-Do Federation . Dalibor Medic is an ISO certified bodyguard and trainer.

Sports career

Dalibor Medic grew up in Vienna and began to deal with self-defense and martial arts in 1987. He has been training Taekwondo since 1992. From 1995 to 2000 he practiced various martial arts. Medic is multiple Austrian champion of the ANTF and was part of the national team for several years. He successfully participated in several national and international championships. For several years he has been working intensively on his own fighting style, which he calls "JO-SHUA-DO style". After a break of several years, Dalibor Medic fought his way through to the quarter-finals at the ITF Taekwondo European Championships in Tallinn in October 2007 .

Trainer

Medic is a trained military policeman and trained his unit in hand-to-hand combat and especially Taekwondo during his military service. From February 1999 he was assistant trainer and thus the youngest trainer in ITF Taekwondo in Austria. After his military service in 2000, he took over his master's school. In 2000, Dalibor Medic founded the JO-SHUA-DO FIGHT CLUB . In 2002 Medic coached and trained on behalf of the Austrian national team at the Open German Taekwondo Championships in Dortmund , which won several medals. For over a year he led the training in the Dojang (training facility) of the ITF headquarters in Vienna . Since 2005 Medic has been organizing and leading several training and self-defense seminars in Austria. Since September 2005 he has been training the Austrian national team and preparing it for the ITF Taekwon-Do World Championship in Bled , Slovenia , where the Austrian team reached the quarter-finals. Medic is an International Taekwondo Instructor VII. Dan (ITF) and an International Umpire and was inducted into the Taekwondo Hall of Fame as a Technical Advisor in 2008. Medic is a personal trainer and functional training instructor.

On September 7, 2018, Sabum Dalibor Medic in Frankfurt am Main was appointed federal instructor for Germany by the International Taekwon-Do Federation Germany eV. In December 2019, Master Dalibor Medic was accepted into the ITMS - International Taekwon-Do Masters Society.

From 2003 to 2005 he was Vice President of the Power Taekwon-Do Federation Austria (PTF) (full contact). At the request of the ITF headquarters in Austria , he was commissioned by ITF President Chang Ung in August 2005 to support the new Austrian Taekwon-Do Federation, the Austrian National Taekwon-Do Federation, in setting up and reorganizing the association. In September 2006 he was unanimously elected Technical Director by the ANTF board. Since 2006 he has been the international referee and official examiner of the Austrian Taekwondo Federation, the Austrian National Taekwon-Do Federation (ANTF). He was a referee at the 2008 ITF World Cup in Tashkent , the 2009 ITF World Cup in Saint Petersburg and the 2011 ITF World Cup in Pyongyang . At the Extraordinary General Assembly on November 24th, 2008, Dalibor Medic was elected Vice President of the Austrian National Taekwondo Federation (ANTF).

Sabum Dalibor Medic was officially recognized for his life's work on April 10, 2009 in Teaneck , New Jersey USA and was inducted into the Taekwondo Hall of Fame as a permanent member .

At the 19th Congress of the International Taekwon-Do Federation - ITF on October 13, 2009 in Saint Petersburg - Russia , International Instructor Dalibor Medic was awarded the ITF OUTSTANDING INSTRUCTOR MEDAL 2009.

Since November 16, 2012, Dalibor Medic has held the office of President of the Austrian Taekwondo Federation, the Austrian National Taekwon-Do Federation (ANTF).

One of these projects is the "SPARRING / FIGHT SEMINAR - LEVEL IV" (TAEKWON-DO & KICKBOXING) and ONE TAEKWONDO (ITF & WT), where different martial arts and fighting techniques are combined and applied.
  • In September 2018 he launched the project "TAEKWON-DO FIT CLASS - WOMEN FOR WOMEN" in Austria.
