Dallas Lee Braden (born August 13, 1983 in Phoenix , Arizona ) is a retired American baseball player . Throughout his career he played as a pitcher for the Oakland Athletics .

Braden was under contract in Oakland from 2004, initially in the lower leagues. In 2007 he made the leap into Major League Baseball and established himself as one of the starting pitcher of the Athletics. On May 9, 2010, he succeeded in the 19th  perfect game in MLB history.

Due to a shoulder injury, the 2011 season ended for Braden after just three games. After being injured in 2012 and 2013, he ended his career in January 2014.
