The Dallas Texans were an arena football team from Dallas, Texas that played in the Arena Football League (AFL). The Texans played their home games in the Reunion Arena .
history
The Texans were founded in 1990 by the American businessman H. Lanier Richey and played in the AFL.
The Texans have reached the playoffs three times in their history. In their very first season they made it to the Arena Bowl finals, but they lost 27:51 against the Denver Dynamite .
The Texans broke up in late 1993 due to a decline in viewers. They were the first of a total of four AFL franchises in the Dallas-Fort Worth metropolitan area . Later the Fort Worth Cavalry , Dallas Desperados and Dallas Vigilantes should also be located there.
