Damian Wojtasik (born August 6, 1990 in Sosnowiec ) is a Polish beach volleyball player .

Career

Wojtasik took part in 2007 with Marcin Kantor at the Youth World Cup in Mysłowice and finished fourth. In 2008 he formed a duo with Marek Leznicki and played his first open tournaments on the FIVB World Tour in Prague and Stare Jabłonki . Wojtasik / Leznicki came third at the 2008 Youth World Cup in The Hague . Then they finished 25th at the Junior World Championships in Brighton . In 2009 they became European U20 champions in Greece. At the Junior World Championships in Blackpool , they reached ninth place. In 2010 Wojtasik and his new partner Rafal Szternel took part in a Grand Slam for the first time in Stare Jabłonki. At the Junior World Championships in Alanya, however, he competed with Kantor and finished 29th. In 2011 Wojtasik / Szternel achieved several top ten placements in satellite and masters tournaments.

In 2012 Wojtasik formed a new duo with Jarosław Lech , who so far reached the top ten in two satellite tournaments and one Masters. At the national level, they won the Polish championship in 2012. With a wildcard , Lech / Wojtasik are qualified for the 2013 World Cup in Stare Jabłonki .
