Damien Quigley (born September 20, 1987 in Rochdale ) is a former English football player .
Career
Quigley, who attended Tottington High School in Tottington , was a member of the 2002/03 U-15 school selection of Bury , with which he won the 2003 Greater Manchester Schools' League . As a result, he played from 2004 to 2006 for the youth team of the local professional club Bury FC . As early as October 2005, the midfielder made his competitive debut in the professional team in a 6-1 defeat against Halifax Town by substitution. In November, further appearances in the FA Cup (2-2 against Scunthorpe United ) and in League Two (3-0 against Mansfield Town ) followed. Shortly before, his previous youth coach at Bury, Chris Casper , had taken over the coaching position on the professional team.
At the end of the season he and his teammate Aaron Grundy were offered a professional contract for the 2006/07 season . In the pre-season he was successful as a goalscorer in a friendly against FC United of Manchester , but did not make any other competitive appearances during the season. In January 2007 he was awarded for the remainder of the season in the Conference North at Hyde United , where he completed eleven league appearances and an assignment in the Manchester Premier Cup . In the summer break of 2007 he left Bury, other football stations are not documented.
