Seydewitz dam
Kurt Friedrich Ernst Otto Damm von Seydewitz (born May 28, 1845 in Reichenbach / OL ; † January 18, 1899 in Baruth near Bautzen ) was the royal Prussian chamberlain, governor of the Prussian Upper Lusatia and owner of the manors Reichenbach and Schöps . From 1877 to 1895 he was district administrator for the district of Görlitz .
He came from the Meissnian noble family von Seydewitz and was the eldest son of Otto Theodor von Seydewitz . Damm von Seydewitz studied law at the Ruprecht-Karls-Universität Heidelberg . In 1865 he became a member of the Corps Saxo-Borussia Heidelberg . He was promoted to Dr. iur. doctorate and started a civil service career in the Kingdom of Prussia . He married Lucie von Ungern-Sternberg in Berlin in 1879 , with whom he lived on his estate in Reichenbach.

The former Seydewitz monument in Reichenbach / OL, created in 1914 by the Berlin sculptor Victor Seifert , was not made for him, but for his father Otto Theodor von Seydewitz.
