Damu Cherry

Damu Cherry (born November 29, 1977 in Tampa , Florida ) is an American hurdler who specializes in the 100-meter distance .

In 2003 she was tested positive for the nandrolone degradation product norandrosterone during a training control carried out by her association and was banned for two years for this violation of doping regulations .

In 2006 she was seventh over 60 m hurdles at the World Athletics Championships in Moscow and second at the World Athletics Finals . At the 2008 Olympic Games in Beijing, she was fourth. In 2009 she was eliminated from the semifinals of the World Athletics Championships in Berlin .

Damu Cherry is 1.63 m tall and weighs 59 kg. She is a graduate of the University of South Florida and married to her trainer, Dennis Mitchell .
