Dan Lydiate (born December 18, 1987 in Llandrindod Wells ) is a Welsh rugby union player who is used as a winger or number eight . He works for Racing Métro 92 and the Welsh National Rugby Union team.

Lydiate began his professional career with the Dragons in 2006, having previously played for Pontypool and Ebbw Vale. He was seriously injured in the Heineken Cup in 2007 and was out for the rest of the season. In November 2009 he was nominated for the Welsh national team for the first time . He made his debut against Argentina .
