Dan Michael Knudsen

Dan Michael Knudsen (born March 2, 1962 in Vejle ) was the imperial ombudsman of the Faroe Islands from 2008 to 2017 .

Life

In 1997 Knudsen graduated from the University of South Denmark in Odense with a master's degree in social economics . From 1997 to 2000 he worked in the Ministry of Finance of the Faroese Autonomous Government. In 2008 he succeeded Søren Christensen as the Danish Ombudsman of the Faroe Islands. As High Commissioner, he wrote an annual report to the Danish Prime Minister on behalf of Queen Margrethe II on the territory of the Faroe Islands. He was followed by Lene Moyell Johansen .
