Koryta (until 1924: Koryto ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located in the middle of the Plzeň-Nord district , about 25 km northeast of the city of Plzeň . Koryta borders on Dolní Hradiště in the northeast and Dobříč in the south . The community was founded in 1175 and first mentioned in writing in 1233. In 1924 the parish was renamed from its original name Koryto to the current name Koryta .
