Krašovice (German. Kraschowitz ) is a municipality in the Czech Republic . It is located about 20 km north of Plzeň in the northern part of the Plzeň-North district .
history
Krašovice was first mentioned in writing in 1232, when Jetřich I owned the Krašovické fortress. After his death, his son Jetřich II inherited Krašovice, who sold the village in 1339. As a result, there were a number of owners, one of the most famous was Peter von Vrtba .
During the Hussite Wars , the village and the fortress were burned down. The fortress was never rebuilt. In the following years Krašovice was bought by Burian von Gutstein ( Burian z Gutštejna ), who merged the estate with Bělá. A document from 1772 mentions the originally Romanesque church and states that repairs are necessary. A new church was built on the site of the church in 1778.
