Úherce (German Auherzen ) is a municipality ( obec ) in the Pilsen-Nord district in the Pilsen region of the Czech Republic .
The municipality covers an area of 7.98 km² and a population of 273 people as of July 2006. Úherce is about 13 kilometers southwest of Pilsen and 97 km southwest of Prague .
history
After the Munich Agreement , the place was added to the German Reich and until 1945 belonged to the district of Mies .
There was a church in the village, which was built around 1740 at the expense of the residents. In 1899 it was demolished because it was in disrepair and a new pseudo-Romanesque church was built instead, which is dedicated to St. Joseph.
