Třemošná (German Tschemoschna ) is a town in the Plzeňský kraj region ( Czech Republic ). The stream of the same name flows through the village, nine kilometers north of Pilsen .
history
In 1181 the place was first mentioned as Sremesna . In the 12th century the land belonged to the ruler Radostov z Třemošné. After his death these were sold to the chapter in Melmitz and in 1293 to the monastery in Plasy . In 1300 Melmitz bought them back and after 1379 they were repeatedly leased to secular or spiritual rulers. In 1436 Petr z Chrástu acquired the place, later Přibík z Klenové. In 1509 it passed to the Kolowrat family and to Libstein, a few decades later to the Waldsteiners , who pledged part of their property to the city of Pilsen. This was followed by the Counts of Götzen, the Counts of Vrtba in 1707 , the Lobkowitzers in 1830 and then by marriage to Count Schönborn . From 1895 to 1948 parts of the village belonged to JUDr. Stanislav Wopršálek. 1972 Třemošná was raised to the city.
