reception
Dancing Undercover reached number 26 on the US album charts and number 51 in Great Britain . The album was awarded a gold record in the US on November 25, 1986 , and on February 26, 1987 with a platinum record .
Holger Stratmann wrote a very short review for Rock Hard and said that with this release, too, Ratt would not have "found the way back to the very good first (mini) LP". He is sure that the group “doesn't want that either”. On Dancing Undercover you only find ten songs, all of which are based on the chorus and are not worth mentioning. Conclusion of the reviewer: "Uninteresting!"
The title Body Talk can be seen as a video clip in Eddie Murphy's In Search of the Golden Child .
