Dangur
Dangur ( Ethiopian script : ዳንጉር) is a district ( woreda ) in western Ethiopia . It belongs to the Metekel zone in the Benishangul-Gumuz region . The main town and largest town of Dangur is Manbuk .

The woreda is named after the Dangur mountains.
Dangur borders in the north on the Amhara region , in the east on the Woreda Pawe , in the south-east on Mandura , in the south on Bulen , in the south-west on Wenbara and in the west on Guba and the neighboring country Sudan . The area is about 8387.19 km².
population
According to the Central Statistics Agency , Dangur had 42,059 inhabitants in 2005. The population density of 5 people per km² was below the zone average of 10.5. In 2007, 17.21% lived in urban areas, a figure above the zone average of 13.5%.
In 1994, of 30,741 inhabitants, 40.47% were Agau - Awi , 33.88% Gumuz , 16.53% Amharen and 3.3% Shinasha , 5.81% belonged to other ethnic groups. 51.76% were Ethiopian Orthodox Christians, 21.6% followers of traditional religions and 21.01% Muslims.
