Danièle Boni-Claverie

Danièle Mare Akissi Ablane Boni-Claverie is an Ivorian - French politician.

Life

From 1988 to 1994 she was the director of Radiodiffusion-Télévision ivoirienne (RTI), the Ivory Coast state broadcaster.

She was government spokesperson from 1996 to 1999 and communications minister from 1994 to 1999.

In 2006 she founded the Union républicaine pour la démocratie (UDR), of which she is also chair.

During the government crisis of 2010/2011 , she was Minister for Women, Families and Children in the Aké N'Gbo government from December 5, 2010 to April 11, 2011 .

As a member of the Aké N'Gbo government, Claverie was subject to European Union sanctions from January 11, 2011 . She was not allowed to enter the EU and her funds were frozen.
