Jacqueline Oble

Anne Jacqueline Lohouès Oble is an Ivorian politician . She was Laurent Gbagbo's spokesperson in December 2010 . She was also Minister of Education from December 5, 2010 to April 11, 2011 in the internationally unrecognized Aké N'Gbo government

Life

Oble is a trained lawyer. She was the first female law professor from sub-Saharan Africa, Abidjan Law School and Minister of Justice in Félix Houphouët-Boigny's cabinet . In 1998 she returned her seat in the National Assembly. She ran for the Ivory Coast presidential election in 2010 .

As a member of the Aké N'Gbo government, Jacqueline Oble was subject to European Union sanctions from January 11, 2011 . She was not allowed to enter the EU and his funds were frozen.
