Dania Hohmann

Dania Hohmann (born October 17, 1974 in Hagen ) is a German theater director .

Live and act

Hohmann grew up in Plettenberg . From 1996 she gained her first experiences in the theater, a. a. as an extra at the Düsseldorfer Schauspielhaus under Karin Beier . From 1998 to 2001 she completed her acting training in Hamburg. From 2001 onwards, independent theater and film projects followed, including a. a Faust adaptation. From 2004 to 2009 she was assistant director at the Hamburg St. Pauli Theater .

As a director she works u. a. at the St. Pauli Theater as well as at the Imperial Theater in Hamburg, at the Ruhr Festival Recklinghausen and at the Theater unterm Dach in Berlin . In addition, since 2007 she has been working regularly with students from the Am Hafen district school, St.Pauli location, in cooperation with the St.Pauli-Theater, where the performances take place.

Hohmann has been married to director Ulrich Waller since 2009 and lives in Hamburg and Italy.
