Daniel Amelot

Daniel Amelot (born July 13, 1935 - † July 23, 2016 ) was a French jazz bassist.

Amelot played in 1961 with Eddie Vartan's Jazz Preachers, with whom he appeared in the musical film Modern Jazz at the Blue Note . In the course of his career he played a. a. with Marcel Zanini , Mustache ( Mustache et les petits français ) and Alain Bouchet (album Tribute to Buck Clayton , with Warren Vaché ). In 2001, Amelot performed at the Jazz à Marciac festival, paying homage to Bill Coleman . In the field of jazz he was involved in eight recording sessions between 1967 and 1993. a. with Dorothy Donegan , Les Gammas and Michel Attenoux ( Jam-session au Meridie ).
