Daniel Bérgolo

Daniel Bérgolo (born July 2, 1945 in Montevideo , Uruguay , † January 17, 2009 ) was a Uruguayan actor .

Life

Bérgolo studied at the Escuela Municipal de Arte Dramático (EMAD).

He has appeared on stage in more than 40 different roles. For example, he starred in Greek , Historia de un caballo by Mark Rozovski , in Los girasoles de Van Gogh and in Juan Moreira, directed by Carlos Aguilera . He has also appeared in Esperando la carroza , Sarita y Michelle , Jubileo , El herrero y la muerte , Mein Kampf , El regreso al desierto and El rey Lear . He also took part in various international festivals. For example, in 1987, 1989 and 2001 he worked in the Brazilian cities of Brasília , Londrinha and Porto Alegre , in 1988 in Córdoba, Argentina and in 1995 in Paraguay's capital Asunción . In Brasilia he was awarded Best Actor for his performance in El herrero y la muerte . In 1990 he was named Actor of the Year for Varela, el reformador . In 1999 he won the Premio Florencio for his role in Steven Berkoff's Greek , directed by Alfredo Goldstein . In 1988, 1990, 1993, 2000 and 2001 he was also nominated for this award.

Bérgolo was also present on television. In 2000 he participated with the Tabaré award-winning Cuentos para ver and was seen in Curro Jiménez and Cara o Cruz .
