Daniel Beckmann
Daniel Beckmann (born May 6, 1980 in Attendorn ) is a German organist .
Beckmann studied Catholic church music and organ at the State University for Music in Detmold , where he passed all exams (church music A, artistic maturity examination and concert exams) with distinction. In 2005 he received a grant from the German Music Council and was accepted into the national selection of young artists. In 2009 he was awarded first prize at the International Organ Competition in Saint-Maurice / Switzerland. From 2006 to 2010 he worked as dean church musician of the Archdiocese of Paderborn for the city dean of Paderborn . In 2010 he was appointed cathedral organist at Mainz Cathedral to succeed Albert Schönberger .
