Daniel Bogner

Daniel Bogner (born June 21, 1972 , grew up in Neumarkt in der Oberpfalz ) is a Roman Catholic theologian .

Life

He studied theology, philosophy and political science in Münster and Freiburg im Üechtland , graduating with a theological licentiate from Carl Schmitt with Johann Baptist Metz . After completing his doctorate at Michel de Certeau in Paris and his habilitation in Christian social ethics at the University of Münster , he was a graduate student at the Max Weber College in Erfurt and at the Religion and Politics Cluster of Excellence in Münster. He was a human rights officer in the secretariat of the German Bishops' Conference. Since 2014 he has been teaching as professor for moral theology and ethics at the theological faculty of the University of Friborg .

His main research interests are human rights, legal ethics and the justification of theologically motivated ethics.
