Daniel Borel (born February 14, 1950 in Neuchâtel ) co-founded Logitech in 1981 and is part of the management. From 1982 to 1988 Daniel Borel headed the management of Logitech SA in Romanel-sur-Morges , Switzerland. Since 1998 he has been Chairman of the Board of Directors of Logitech International. He relocated the production capacities to Asia. In 2006 around 6,000 people worked in Asia and around 260 in Switzerland. In 1992 he moved to America, where he became Chairman of the Board of Directors and CEO of the Logitech Group.

Daniel Borel graduated from the École polytechnique fédérale de Lausanne (Swiss Federal Institute of Technology in Lausanne) and obtained a master's degree in computer science from Stanford University . The ETH Lausanne awarded him an honorary doctorate in 1992 .

Daniel Borel stepped down as Logitech's Chairman of the Board of Directors in late December 2007. His successor is Guerrino De Luca.

On January 12, 2008, Borel won the SwissAward in the business category.

At the Annual General Meeting on September 9, 2015, Daniel Borel, who stepped down from the Board of Directors , was appointed Chairman Emeritus .
