Daniel Bozzani

Daniel Bozzani (* 1957 in Buenos Aires ) is an Argentine composer and conductor.

Bozzani studied piano and composition at the Universidad Católica Argentina . He continued his education at the Mozarteum in Salzburg with Cesar Bresgen and Nikolaus Harnoncourt and received his diploma as a conductor in 1986 as a student of Antoni Ros Marbà . He then studied composition with Hans Ulrich Lehmann at the Zurich University of Music and Theater and in 1989 was an assistant at Richard Schumacher's international master class in Lugano. Finally he attended Heinz Holliger's composition class and a seminar for electroacoustic music with Wolfgang Rihmat the Music Academy of the City of Basel and a course in music phenomenology with Sergiu Celibidache .

As a guest conductor, Bozzani u. a. the Orquesta Sinfónica de Paraná , the Orquesta Sinfónica de Bahía Blanca , the Masterplayers Chamber Orchestra and the Ensemble Interface de Paris . In 1999 he became director of the Orquesta de Cámara de la Universidad Nacional de Lanús , with which he recorded a CD with works by Daniel Binelli , José Bragato and Astor Piazzolla and his own compositions. From 2000 to 2003 he was director of the Orquesta de Cámara de la Provincia del Neuquén . Since 2001 he has been teaching chamber and orchestral music at the Universidad Nacional de Lanús .

Bozzani's compositions were a. a. in Argentina, Colombia, Uruguay, Germany, Sweden, Switzerland and Spain, at the UNESCO Auditorium in Paris , at Radio France , at the Teatro del Globo and Teatro Colón , the Teatro Nacional Cervantes , the Teatro Margarita Xirgù , at Radio Nacional Buenos Aires and Radio Municipal de la Ciudad de Buenos Aires . In 2003 the CD Paris-Buenos Aires-Tango Futur was released with the saxophonist Claude Delangle , which contains works by other Argentine composers and Bozzani's Madame Blanch .
