Daniel Díaz Maynard

Daniel Díaz Maynard ( October 12, 1933 - March 22, 2007 ) was a Uruguayan politician .

Díaz Maynard, who had a doctorate and was a lawyer by profession , was a representative of the Montevideo Department in the 43rd, 44th and 45th legislative periods (LP) continuously from February 15, 1990 to February 14, 2005 as a member of the Cámara de Representantes . He sat in the 43rd legislative period for the Partido Por el Gobierno del Pueblo as the elected representative of Nuevo Espacio , in the 44th for the Frente Amplio and within this for the Lista 77 and in the 45th for the Partido Encuentro Progresista / Frente Amplio in the Chamber of Deputies. In the latter part of the election he was elected as a representative of Lista 738 . In 1998 he held the post of Third Vice-President of the Chamber. He was also interim president of the Encuentro Progresista in 1995 and was part of Tabaré Vázquez's team of advisors in the field of "Public Security". Díaz Maynard, who was married to Anita Pintos de Díaz and had seven children, died at the age of 73.
