Daniel Forslund (born August 31, 1973 ) is a former Swedish squash player .

Career

Daniel Forslund began his professional career in 1996 and won four tournaments on the PSA World Tour . He reached his highest place in the world rankings with rank 36 in January 1999. With the Swedish national team he took part in world championships in 1993 , 1995 , 1997 , 1999 and 2001 , the best place was 7th in 1993. At European championships he was for the first time in 1992 Part of the squad and participated in over ten European championships in the course of his career. In 1995 he was third with the team.

In the singles he was twice in the main field of the world championship, both times he was eliminated in the first round. He ended his professional career in 2000, but took part in the Swedish Open several times as a wildcard starter . Forslund was Swedish national champion nine times between 1994 and 2003 . This makes him the record winner of the competition.
