Daniel Funk
Daniel Beat Ludwig Funk (baptized January 16, 1726 in Bern ; † May 1, 1787 in Bern; citizen of Nidau ) was a Swiss watchmaker .
Daniel Funk trained as a watchmaker and worked with his father Mathäus Funk from around 1750 , but also with his uncle Johann Friedrich Funk or his son Johann Friedrich Funk . Numerous pendulum clocks , night clocks and tableaux mouvants bear his signature FONCK A BERNE or FONCK FILS A BERNE . With increasing age he traded in watches, most of which he imported from Paris and which he also provided with his signature.
