Daniel Haglund (born March 25, 1980 in Falun ) is a Swedish musician . He has been the keyboard player for Mando Diao since 1999 with interruptions .

Life

His great musical talent was shown early on; At the age of eleven he appeared in a family show on Swedish television with piano and keyboard. Daniel attended the same school as Björn Dixgård for a number of years . When he was fifteen, he and Björn formed a band called Butler.

Since 1996 Gustaf Norén was also a member of the band. In 1997 the name Butler was changed to Mando Jao. According to stories, Dixgård had a dream in which an old man appeared to him and called out the two words to him. The band took a liking to the name and it was adopted. In 1999 the name of the band was changed again, but this time only the spelling - Mando Jao became Mando Diao. The band members were certain that this version would offer better English pronunciation. The band at that time consisted of Björn Dixgård, Gustaf Norén, CJ Carl-Johan Fogelklou , Daniel Haglund and Samuel Giers .

In 2004 Daniel Haglund left the band and was replaced by Mats Björke . From then on he worked as a music and German teacher. In 2007 he took up contact with his former bandmates again; in summer 2008 he performed a few numbers at the Peace and Love Festival with his previous band.

Since 2010 Daniel Haglund has been working with Mando Diao again in live performances and in the studio (keyboard, guitar, keytar, synthesizer); at the MTV Unplugged concert he was seen as part of the band, as well as on the Unplugged Tour 2011 and all subsequent appearances to this day.

Today Daniel Haglund lives in the small town of Dals-Ed in the western Swedish province of Dalsland. He has three children.

Haglund appears together with Sebastian Fahlander as the duo "Två Lager Gladpack" apart from Mando Diao.
