Daniel Kalenga

Daniel Kalenga (* 1965 ) is a politician in Zambia .

Daniel Kalenga was elected to the National Assembly in the 2006 election in Zambia for the Movement for Multiparty Democracy in the Kabompo- West constituency. He also lives in this district and works as a businessman there. In the 2001 election he ran for the United Party for National Development , was defeated and still achieved a seat as an independent in the National Assembly, where he devoted himself to educational issues and was able to push through 14 new schools for his district, distributed 70 ox plows and a few canoes. Already in the 1996 election he was able to win a mandate as an independent.

Daniel Kalenga is known to be close to the people, pragmatic and organizational. He sees agricultural policy primarily as a means of increasing the standard of living in the country. When it was presented to him immediately at the start of his office that seeds and artificial fertilizers were still stored in Mporokoso , which had not been distributed, although the rainy season began, he took care of it himself on the spot.
