Daniel Lund Bækkegård (* 1996 ) is a Danish triathlete and Ironman winner (2019).

Career

In 2014 Daniel Bækkegård became the national junior triathlon champion and in 2015 he finished third with the Danish team at the European Junior Triathlon Championships in Geneva.

In June 2019 he won the first edition of the Ironman 70.3 Lahti . Just one week later, Daniel Lund Bækkegård started the Ironman distance for the first time (3.86 km swimming, 180.2 km cycling and 42.195 km running) and he won the Ironman Austria . He lives in Odense . In December he came second in Ironman 70.3 Bahrain behind Norwegian Kristian Blummenfelt .
